PROBLEM

We took over the acc in October 2025. There was no GTM or conversion tracking and the campaigns were down. November 2025 got only 16 leads at $830.65 each.

What We Did

01

Oct to Nov 2025: set up GTM & tracking, removed ad schedules so ads run all day, Search budget $525 → $1,025 a day

02

Jan to Mar 2026: tested a free leak check ad for Riverside, one $560 Target CPA on all Search, budget up to $1,355 a day, Brand opened to all of California.

03

Apr to May 2026: clicks got pricier, so we raised the Target CPA step by step and tested a slab leak ad. After a slow May (14 leads at $1,419.18) we paused about 45 product search keywords, added 172 negatives and built a 13 ad group Max Conversions test campaign

04

Jun to Jul 2026: turned off AI Max, added a Widget Lead Form conversion, Calls From Ads length 25 → 60 sec so only real calls count, all main conversions in one goal on every campaign.

05

Sep to Oct 2026: client said he was spending too much ($28,947.80 for 24 leads in Sep 1 – 25). We moved Search to Max Conversions, paused weak keywords and 2 ad groups with no conversions in 200 days, cut budgets back to $25K a month, blocked junk searches weekly and sent Google lead form leads to the client’s email
